Wheatstone LNG

Client:
Chevron Australia

The LNG project is a multi-billion dollar development proposed by Chevron Australia on the North West Shelf of Western Australia. The company filled the role of original Environmental, Social and Health Impact Assessment Facilitator (ESHIA Facilitator). This is a strategic role to ensure appropriate processes are in place for the planning, assessment and management of all environmental, social and health issues related to the development. On a practical level, RPS has a small team of environmental approvals specialists working in-house assisting the Wheatstone Team with the management and coordination of the environmental regulatory approval process. More recently, RPS scientists have commenced a number of specialist ecological studies in support of environmental regulatory approval.
