Climate Change Training

Client:
Planning Institute of Australia
Locations:

As leading consultants in climate change mitigation and adaptation, RPS has been engaged by the Planning Institute of Australia to develop and nationally deliver a climate change unit as part of its Certified Practising Planner Program.

Considering that climate change will be an ongoing professional development challenge for planners, the unit is designed to equip participants with the basic knowledge and skills necessary to begin considering climate change in their workplace.

The unit will teach planners how to plan for climate change by providing them with an enhanced understanding of climate change science, relevant policy initiatives and planners' role in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and addressing the impacts of climate change.

The course has been designed fro planners, but relates to all who participate in the creation and management of land use, settlements and infrastructure.
